A 0.50-m diameter, 10-kg pulley is free to rotate about a horizontal axis. A 4.0-kg mass and a 6.0-kg mass are attached by a massless string, which hangs over the pulley. If the string does not slip, (a) find the acceleration of the system and (b) the tensions in the cable that supports each of the masses. (c) If the system starts from rest, through what angle (in radians) will the pulley rotate and by what distance will the positions of the masses change after 1.5 s? Assume that the string is sufficiently long as to not affect your answer.
