CHAPTER 5: CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS 5.1. Introduction This is the final chapter concludes the research by providing the summary of the research and it also provides the answers to the research questions. This section further discusses the limitations of the study and it provides a recommendation to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) owners, the government and future studies and to then conclude this chapter. 5.1.1 Research question 1: What are the determinants that influence the intention to adopt ICT by SMEs in Pietermaritzburg? One to two paragraphs no bullet points. In addition, references are required to support your finding/s. Please see my example below: Understanding the determinants that influence adoption of ICT by SMEs, literature review was conducted in this study. The findings from the literature shows government support as one of the determinants. These findings are in line with Ngidi (2020) who also that government support is influential when it comes to ICT adoption. 5.1.2 Research question 2 5.1.3 Research question 3 5.1.4 Research question 4 5.2 Conclusion Two paragraphs 5.3 Limitations One to two paragraphs no bullet points. In addition, references are not required in this section The most notable limitation of the study was the lack of financial resources which led the researcher to use Pietermaritzburg as the only geographic area for the study. Time limitation also led to choosing one geographic area for the study. Using one city for the study makes it difficult to generalise the finding to a country level. the ones in Pietermaritzburg. The use of non-probability sampling may also limit the generalisation of the study since the participants were not randomly chosen. 5.4 Recommendations for further research One to two paragraphs no bullet points. No references are not required in this section In future studies, it would be beneficial to study the topic using mixed-method and get different regarding the research. Future studies should also look at longitudinal studies that can be cov to study the adoption level of ICTs in SMEs. Studying this topic in different provinces economies will assist in generalisation the study for the whole South African country. REFERENCES Only the references that were cited.
