DESIGN A HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT THAT USES A PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE Design and draw a hydraulic control circuit to control the metal expander machine shown. Draw in the power unit components. Thesequence is as follows: - When the operator pushes the lever of the DCV forward (straight arrows condition), the two clamp cylinders extend at a controlled speed. - When the clamp cylinders contact the metal tube they clamp at a pressure of 200 psi / 1380 \( \mathrm{kPa} \). The mandrel cylinder then begins to extend. The trigger to extend is a rise in system pressure which opens a sequence valve. The mandrel cylinder extends at a controlled speed (less than that of the clamp cylinders). - When the mandrel cylinder is extended, the operator pulls the DCV lever to the crossed arrows condition. This causes the mandrel cylinder to retract. Speed is not controlled. - When the mandrel cylinder is retracted, a sequence valve opens causing the clamp cylinders to retract. - When the clamp cylinders are retracted, the operator releases the DCV lever and the cycle stops.
