Compute the shear lag factor U using Case 2. Hint: In my notes, I did not show a channel with plates on top and bottom, only a channel with a single plate on the side. However, the case shown here is identical to the W -section case with plates on top and bottom, meaning the centroid distance will be equal to \( d / 2-Z_{x} / A \). You should be able to find all these values in Table 1-5 of the Steel Manual.
