A differential amplifier shown below has a single-ended output and the ideal current
source with infinitely large output resistance. Assume M_(1) and M_(2) are in saturation and
identical with threshold voltage V_(th), transconductance g_(m) and \lambda =0.
(a) Initially, V_(in 1)=V_(in 2). What is V_(out ) ?
(b) Now V_(in1 1) increases by the amount of \Delta V but V_(in 2) remains the same.
How much does V_(out ) change?
(c) Now, V_(in1)=V_(in2) again. How large can V_(in1),V_(in2) be before the circuit no longer work
as a differential amplifier.
