I decided to breed and sell attack alligators. However, my neighbor was better at it. Being resourceful, I changed my plan and am breeding caimans based on their rarity and speed. I capture 800 adult caiman and measure their speed. The mean top speed was 50 miles per hour (mph) with a total variance of 12 mph. I select breeders with a mean trait value of 64 mph.
