Logistics, or supply chain management, includes all the activities involved in obtaining and managing raw materials and component parts, managing finished products, packaging, and getting them to customers (Ferrel, Hirt, Ferrel, 2018). Coronavirus impacted supply chains across industries around the world. Managing supply chains requires the ability to make quick tactical changes, however a global pandemic offered a new challenge to supply chain managers. This is why you couldn't get that backyard pool or can of tomatoes a couple of months back. This week we will do some research online to find an article about interrupted supply chain so we can get a sense of real-world examples of how supply chains operate.
