m came running into lab about 15 minutes late, just as the TA was finishing the pre-lab discussion. He went to his bench and began setting up his experiment. Of course he had not had time to write the procedure for today (or even read it for that matter); he could just look at what someone else was doing and figure it out. Besides, he had a copy of the procedure from the instructor that he could read as he went. The TA comes by Tim’s work area and discovers that Tim is completely unprepared for lab. The TA asks Tim to leave the lab and Tim begrudgingly obliges. Why did the TA send Tim out of the lab? Tim is posing a safety threat to everyone in the lab, including himself. The TA is incompetent. The TA is mean. The TA does not like the name “Tim.”
