Mr. McLain is a 64 y/o man with history of CAD with RUQ abdominal pain and fever. Blood work shows leukocytosis, elevated alkaline phosphatase and GGT and mildly elevated AST/ALT. The total and direct bili are elevated. Amylase and lipase are normal. Part A, to be completed by Thursday 11:59 pm. What is the likely diagnosis? Where, anatomically, is the "lesion?" (Be more specific than "the liver.") Bonus: Of what help is it to know that the GGT is also elevated? Briefly describe your reasoning and cite your sources.
