The ramp traffic is 800 vph, with 10% truck, rolling terrain and PHF=0.89. A traffic study measured the average speed in ramp merge inference area is 40mph and 60mph in non-inference area. FFS=75mph
A) Draw a link node diagram for traffic simulation software, mark FFS, link length, number of lanes, acceleration/deceleration lane length.
B) Use HCM procedure to determine flow rate in the ramp merge inference area (vR12) and flow rate (NO)(vOA) in none-inference area
