The two-span continuous beam shown in Figure 3 is subjected to a uniformly distributed load, w, per unit length acting as shown. The modulus of elasticity of the material is E. The moment of inertia of parts AE and CF is I and of parts BE and BF is 2I. Use the Moment-Area Method to: a) calculate the reaction at either support A or C, and at support B, b) determine the slope at either support A or C, c) determine the deflection at mid-span BA or BC, and d) draw the final bending moment diagram for the two spans AB and BC.
